About
About Hermissenda
Hermissenda is a platform for coaching, reflection, and human growth — built to help people succeed in the projects that matter most in their lives.
Hermissenda is built around a simple observation: who a person is being shapes what they do, how they interpret events, and what kind of life they gradually create.
The platform supports growth through identity, reflection, accountability, and evidence accumulated over time. It combines thoughtful technology with the natural human capacity for one person to listen carefully to another.
At its core, Hermissenda is grounded in the belief that coaching is a learnable human skill. People do not need to be experts or therapists to support meaningful change in one another’s lives. With structure, attention, and practice, peer coaching can become a powerful force for growth.
Hermissenda exists to make that kind of coaching easier, more accessible, and more reliable — while also supporting deeper work with experienced professional coaches when that path is desired.
The founder
Coaching and software,
brought together.
Hermissenda was founded by Carl Huber, a coach and software engineer whose work has explored the relationship between identity, language, and meaningful human change for several decades.
His early work in ontological coaching began in the 1980s and focused on how people create themselves through commitments, interpretation, and disciplined reflection. In parallel, he pursued a long career in software engineering, contributing to systems in areas including communications infrastructure, medical imaging, and advanced computing.
Hermissenda brings these two lifelong disciplines together: rigorous coaching practice and carefully designed technology. The platform is intended to support coaching relationships that remain fundamentally human while benefiting from modern tools, including thoughtfully implemented AI systems.
Hermissenda LLC is based in the United States and is being developed as a long-term effort to make effective coaching more accessible, more structured, and more widely available.
