Peer coaching
A simple starting point.
Peer coaching in Hermissenda is not based on expertise or certification. It begins with something more fundamental.
What’s required is not expertise, but a willingness to coach and be coached.
The capacity to listen, reflect, and speak honestly is already present in people. What is often missing is a structure in which those abilities can be brought into use and developed over time.
Hermissenda provides that structure, so that two people can work together in a way that is focused, grounded, and useful.
Coaching listens for Being
Peer coaching in Hermissenda does not rely only on thoughtful conversation. It uses a specific mode of listening whose purpose is to hear the Being expressed in what a person says.
In that mode of listening, attention is placed not only on the words, but on the reality carried through them. A person may say one thing while expressing something quite different. The work of the coach is to hear that difference and reflect it truthfully.
This requires a deliberate shift. The coach sets aside ordinary reactions, judgments, and the impulse to reply too quickly, in order to listen more cleanly for what is actually there.
This kind of listening is not constant. It is a practice that can be brought into use intentionally, strengthened over time, and applied in conversations that matter.
Learning through practice
No one begins as a finished coach. The ability develops through doing it, reflecting on what happened, and continuing the work.
Over time, people become more precise in how they listen, more honest in how they speak, and more effective in how they support others.
The result is not only better conversations, but clearer action and more consistent follow-through in real life.
Peer coaching in Hermissenda takes place within a growing network of people who are engaged in the same work: taking on what matters, and carrying it forward over time.
